Let's continue exploring...do not be satisfied by only reading spiritual/mystical/religious/esoteric books.Books are "theories".Books are written to try to described the indescribable aspects of a prophet's/sage's/saint's/shaman's/yogi's/mystic's transcendentally profound experience.
Most of us didn't realize that if we read and study extensively spiritual/mystical/religious/esoteric books,we only encounter "symbols".Symbols are not experience.It could never describe an experience.An excellent reader...a critic...a scholar...a scientist...a researcher...even for many years of extensive study of the holy scriptures could never have an inkling or idea of what kind of state of consciousness a prophet/apostle/sage/saint/shaman/yogi/mystic possessed during their respective lifetimes.
Scientists,scholars and researchers have to undergo a practical training of meditation,prayer,concentration and breathing techniques to know what a prophet/apostle/sage/saint/shaman/yogi/mystic had experience.Many of those extraordinary human beings live for many thousands of years but their profound transcendental experience can be experience too by us modern humans.What we need are techniques..methods that will simulate ancient state of consciousness of a Moses,Shiva,Krishna,Buddha,Lao-Tzu,Jesus,Mohammad,Guru Nanak and many other illustrious human beings.
Be "practical" then...practice....practice...lots of practice.Lets stop being "theoretical".
