If a person has never experienced spiritual awakening/enlightenment,no amount of intellectual explanation will suffice for making him/her understand what a spiritual awakening/enlightenment is.Intellectual explanation can never be a substitute for spiritual experience;it can at best prepare the ground for it.
Spiritual/Mystical experience is not impractical,irrational or anti-intellectual.In fact,it is a form of perception which is absolutely unclouded,and so practical that it can be integrated and lived every moment of one's life and expressed in everyday duties
