What Matters Most

Theres nothing wrong with having a fellowship or socializing at a church, mosque, temple or a religious community.Being social is part of being a human. But we must all realize that what we're looking for...that is,the House/Church/Temple of God is within us.Searching for the Truth/Enlightenment/Salvation outside will get us nowhere.

That is why all sages, prophets, saints and spiritual masters taught us about performing meditation or prayer at the privacy of our own room or just being in a quiet, isolated place.

Jesus said:

"And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him." ~ Matthew 6:5-8

'Once, having been asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, Jesus replied, "The kingdom of God does not come with your careful observation, nor will people say, 'Here it is,' or 'There it is,' because the kingdom of God is within you' ~ Luke 17:20-21

Prophet Muhammad said:

"He who knoweth his own self, knoweth God."

Guru Nanak said:

"As fragrance abides in the flower. As reflection is within the mirror,so does your Lord abide within you, why search for him without?"

Lao- Tzu said:

'Knowing others is wisdom, knowing yourself is Enlightenment."

"At the centre of your being you have the answer; you know who you are and you know what you want."

Buddha said:

"The Summit of Reality can only be realized within oneself."

Upanishad:

"Self-knowledge is the best of all forms of knowledge; through it, one attains immortality."

Socrates,Phythagoras,Plato,Chilon of Sparta,Thales of Miletus,Solon of Athens and Delphi all said :
